Celtic continue to be linked with Dunajska Streda’s Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

According to The Express, Celtic’s new £2million bid for Dunajska Streda striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo appears to be their final one.
The Bhoys are in the market for at least one striker, with Odsonne Edouard in need of help in attack following Leigh Griffiths’ decision to take a break from football.
Paris Saint-Germain teenager Timothy Weah is one player heavily linked with a move to Parkhead, but Ivorian goalscorer Bayo has also emerged as a top name over the last week.
The Express now report that Celtic’s initial bid of £1.7million has been rejected for Bayo, and they have now offered £2million for his signature.
That is believed to be Celtic’s final bid though, offering a take-it-or-leave-it situation to Slovakian outfit Dunajska Streda, with a large part of the money coming up front in an effort tot tempt them into a sale.
Bayo, 21, has been in red-hot form this season, notching 18 goals and seven assists in just 23 games, and he has been identified as a surprise name to bolster Brendan Rodgers’ attack.

Celtic could seemingly walk away from a deal though, and with both Parma and Rapid Vienna challenging for his services, the Bhoys are taking something of a risk with their ‘final’ approach.
Bayo has though dropped a small hint that he is Celtic-bound or at least wants a move to Parkhead, after he started following the club on Instagram – just like fellow target Weah did a fortnight ago – and both could end up heading to Glasgow during this month’s transfer window if Celtic get their way.
