The Everton hitman could be a useful addition for Southampton.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl will be desperate to bolster his ranks at St Mary’s this month, in a bid to guide his side away from relegation trouble during the second half of the season.
One particular area where the Austrian will surely want to strengthen is his attacking department, what with his side’s tally of just 21 goals scored in 21 Premier League games thus far.
With this in mind, the Saints should consider making a move for Everton flop Cenk Tosun.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees from Besiktas in January last year, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £27 million, but he has struggled to establish himself in the Premier League.
That is not to say that he doesn’t still have a lot to offer, however, and he could be a useful addition for Southampton.
Tosun is most effective when operating in and around the penalty box, and is goal-poaching style is exactly what the south coast club need.
Southampton have plenty of strikers who thrive on running the channels, including Danny Ings and Shane Long, but they seem to lack a clinical finisher.

The Turkey international has banged in 146 goals in 354 career appearances, and a move to St Mary’s might be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his stuttering career.
Whether Everton would be willing to give up on Tosun after just 12 months remains to be seen, but Southampton should test the Merseyside outfit’s resolve with a January bid nevertheless.
And if Hasenhüttl does manage to bring the Blues hitman to the south coast, it could turn out to be a great addition for Southampton, despite the obvious risk involved.
