The Daily Record reported last month of Celtic’s interest in Timothy Castagne, and the 23-year-old right-back himself spoke of his desire to leave Atalanta in the January transfer window order to play regular first-team football, as quoted in the same publication.
The Scottish Sun reported earlier this week that Atalanta want as much as £10 million in transfer fees in order to sell the Belgium international.
According to Corriere dello Sport – Stadio, Italian club Lazio are looking at the prospect of signing Castagne this month.
The Italian club will probably be able to pay the £10m transfer fee that Atalanta reportedly want for Castagne, and the right-back himself may see moving to Lazio a better option that move to Scotland to play Celtic.
