Aston Villa could be set to lose Tammy Abraham in what would be a major blow for Dean Smith’s side.

Aston Villa fans want Neal Maupay brought in by Dean Smith if Tammy Abraham does go.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to sign Abraham from Chelsea, and if the deal goes through his loan at Villa Park will be cut short.

That would be a massive blow for Villa, as Abraham has led the line brilliantly for Smith’s side this term.

But Villa fans already have chosen their replacement for Abraham, if he does depart.

The claret and blues support appear to want Maupay snapped up from Brentford, if social media website Twitter is anything to go by.

Maupay worked with Smith at Brentford, so he is a player who the Villa boss knows well.

So far this season Maupay has netted 15 goals, which is just one fewer than Abraham has managed for Villa.

If the claret and blues were to bring in the French forward they would likely have to spend big, as Brentford would be desperate to keep hold of their top scorer.
