The 1975 UK Tour: What Can We Expect?

The 1975 UK tour is just around the corner, and expectations for the group’s live shows have never been higher.

With the release of A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, the group have perhaps become the most popular band in the UK. Critics and audiences alike praised the band’s bold direction, noting the record’s lyrical themes and instrumental ambition. It’s certainly the Manchester band’s most impressive studio-album to date, and hopefully these upcoming live shows will accompany it grandly.

The tour is due to commence on Wednesday 9 January at Belfast SSE Arena, and whoever has tickets has access to the hottest show in January. Their return to the stage is sure to be triumphant, having long been renowned for their electrifying live performances and stage shows. Fans have been dying to hear the new material in the flesh, and the first night of the tour always comes with that extra dose of energy and excitement.

The group will also play the following shows across the January tour; Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff, Brighton, London (two shows on the 18 & 19 Jan), Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, and will be concluding the tour at Sheffield Flydsa Arena on the 25.

Tickets for the sold-out tour were deemed imperative by fans, and those who are going to any of the shows are certainly lucky music fans. The performances are likely to offer lovers of the 1975 a comprehensive and immense celebration of their latest record, as well as the experience of hearing a few favourites and hit-singles like never before.

If you were unable to get tickets, there’s no need to worry. The boys will be back in the UK for Reading & Leeds Festival in August for a headline slot; sure to be a memorable and historical moment for the indie pop-rockers, and also Summer Sessions in Glasgow on the 25 August.

With a hugely anticipated UK tour and yet another new record - Notes on a Conditional Form - due for release May 31, 2019 may be the biggest year yet for The 1975.
