Alnwick is impressing on loan from Rangers at Scunthorpe United.

On-loan Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has continued his excellent form for Scunthorpe United over the weekend by producing an unbelievable save - which was later posted on Twitter.

The 25-year-old has started and finished every single League One match for Scunthorpe this season since joining the club from Rangers, keeping The Iron in plenty of matches with some superb performances.

Scunthorpe currently sit in 22nd place in the third tier of English football, and Alwnick has only kept three clean sheets in his 22 outings for Scunthorpe - in which he has conceded 41 goals. But that is not down to the Rangers stopper.

But Alnwick's third clean sheet of the season came on Saturday as Scunthorpe stopped a six-match losing streak to beat Wycombe 1-0, with the Rangers loanee producing a superb save of his own.

Alnwick left Rangers in the summer after Steven Gerrard lured Allan McGregor back to Ibrox, meaning Wes Foderingham became second choice and Alnwick third. His chances of game time were next to nothing.

Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to Alnwick's save and were mightily impressed with the player, who still has a contract at Ibrox until the summer of 2020. Whether he sees that deal to its expiry, though, remains to be seen.
