Stan Collymore has praised Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on Twitter following the match against Arsenal at the weekend.

Liverpool hammered Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

 

Wijnaldum started the game and played for 78 minutes, and former Liverpool striker Collymore was impressed with the Netherlands international midfielder.

Collymore has been blown away by how the 28-year-old former Newcastle United star has changed his game under manager Jurgen Klopp.

Brilliant player

Wijnaldum has established himself as a key figure in manager Klopp’s team and is playing regularly for Liverpool at the moment.

The former Feyenoord and PSV star has made 17 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Merseyside outfit so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.

Against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Wijnaldum had a pass accuracy of 87.2%, won one header, played a key pass, and made three tackles, according to WhoScored.

Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 54 points from 20 matches, seven points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
