Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Genk’s Sander Berge.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur are locked in talks for Genk midfielder Sander Berge – and may seal a Dele Alli-esque move.
Spurs undoubtedly need a midfielder in January, possibly even two, as Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama look primed for the exit.
A strong, defensive-minded midfielder should be a priority for Mauricio Pochettino, and Genk talent Berge is one player strongly linked with a move to Spurs.
Now, Tuttomercatoweb report that Spurs have been in talks for Berge in recent days, and are looking to secure a deal for the midfielder imminently.
It’s noted that Genk want €25million (£22.5million) for Berge, but Spurs may not even be able to use him for the rest of the season.
That’s because one possibility is that Spurs pay up for Berge now, but allow him to see out the season with Genk before joining up with Pochettino’s men at the end of the season.

Spurs pulled off a similar deal with Dele Alli when they signed him from Milton Keynes Dons in 2015, and could do the same again with Berge.
A powerful holding midfielder standing at 6ft 4in tall, Berge has huge potential at just 20, and already has 12 caps for Norway having emerged as a real talent with Genk.
