Left-back Rose’s future at Spurs still remains a doubt.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim Marseille are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose in the January transfer window, but he is just one of a number of left-backs on the French club’s shortlist.
Rose, 28, has been in and out of the Spurs side recently, starting only three of his side’s last six Premier League matches as Mauricio Pochettino continues to chop and change between him and Ben Davies.
The former Leeds United academy player has been linked with a move in recent transfer windows, with Manchester United most recently keen – though the Daily Star claim that United cooled their £53million interest in the summer.
Marseille are currently sitting way down the Ligue 1 table in sixth place, but are looking for a replacement for Hiroki Sakai as the Japan international is set to jet off to participate in the Asian Cup.
The likes of Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno and Inter Milan’s Dalbert have also been considered alongside Rose, with Marseille expected to be active next month to push Rudi Garcia’s side up from a disappointing sixth into the top four.

It remains to be seen if Rose wants to remain in north London with Spurs, though the 25-time England international may be somewhat frustrated with his lack of consistent game time.
Rose is currently contracted with Tottenham until the summer of 2021, with Spotrac claiming he earns in the region of £60,000 a week.
