Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Jarrod Bowen.
Hull City boss Nigel Adkins has told The Mirror that the club are not looking to sell forward Jarrod Bowen amid links to Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Tigers saw Bowen star last season with 14 goals, and he has been in fine form this season too, notching 10 goals and three assists.
With two goals in the 2-0 win at Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, former Hereford youngster Bowen is becoming a real hot property at the KCOM Stadium.
As a young, talented English forward with major productivity, it’s no great surprise that a host of clubs are interested in signing Bowen in January.
The Mirror note that Leeds – the club Bowen dazzled against on Saturday – are keen, whilst Premier League clubs Brighton, Everton and Tottenham are also interested.
With so much interest, Bowen should command a huge fee if he does leave, but Hull boss Adkins isn’t expecting any movement next month.
Adkins suggested that Hull aren’t looking to do any business over Bowen, and are currently just pleased that he is thriving – but it would be little surprise to see Hull receive a bid next month.
“We’re not looking to sell. The owners have said we don’t need to. However, we all know what football can be like,” said Adkins. “Jarrod has scored 14 last season, he’s got 10 this season. He’s a young English player who’s exciting and has got flair. Who knows what will happen?”
“I’m sure his representatives would love to have him touted around everywhere, that’s football. But I’m really pleased that he’s working hard for the team,” he added.
