Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe ahead of the January transfer window.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Daily Mirror over the weekend suggesting that Newcastle are considering a January move for Kemar Roofe.

Roofe has been sensational during the opening months of the season. Marcelo Bielsa has given him the chance to enjoy a run in the side leading the line, and he has repaid that faith emphatically.

The 25-year-old has scored 13 goals in 19 Championship appearances, including five goals in his last five games for the Championship table-toppers.

The Daily Mirror reports that Newcastle are looking to bolster their goalscoring options in January, and Roofe is a player that Rafa Benitez could go after if he is given funds to spend

But the Leeds supporters do not appear to be worried.

Plenty of fans have suggested that they cannot see why Roofe would want to go when Leeds are battling for promotion and Newcastle appear to face a fight to stay in the top flight.

And with many of those supporters suggesting that they would want to see £20 million offered before a sale is considered, it appears that very few of the Elland Road faithful are particularly worried about Roofe being St James’ Park-bound next month.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to the reports…
