Celtic have reportedly made a bid for the Ivorian striker.

Celtic have reportedly made an offer to sign Ivorian striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo from Slovenian top-tier side DAC Dunajska Streda ahead of the January transfer window – but fans are not impressed.
The 21-year-old has been in explosive form with Streda, scoring an eye-catching 18 goals in just 23 league and cup outings – including strikes in Europa League qualifying against Georgian side Dinamo Tbilisi.
The Daily Star have reported that Celtic have tabled a £1.75million offer to land the striker, with recruitment up front needed after the loss of Moussa Dembele in August. It remains to be seen when Leigh Griffiths will return.
Fans had been hoping for a big-name move, with Paris Saint-Germain teenager Timothy Weah also said to be linked with a move to the Scottish champions on loan next month.

But it is Bayo that Celtic are seemingly looking to land permanently and an early, seven-figure offer signals their intent to get a deal done for the two-time Ivory Coast international.
But Celtic fans are far from impressed at the news that Brendan Rodgers is going to spend a chunk of the club’s transfer budget on a player that is unknown to many in British football, which has seen many fans react sarcastically on Twitter.
