Aston Villa fans want Steve Bruce to take Ahmed Elmohamady with him to Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to appoint former Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce, according to reports.

Aston Villa fans are hoping that Ahmed Elmohamady joins Steve Bruce at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Daily Mirror have suggested that Wednesday are set to put Bruce in charge, and Villa supporters are taking interest in the potential appointment.

Bruce, of course, left Villa earlier this season after losing the bulk of the support at Villa Park.

Since his departure Villa have improved under Dean Smith, but some of the problems that Bruce couldn’t solve still exist.

Elmohamady has been in particularly poor form for the claret and blues, and Villa fans are now hoping that Bruce moves to sign the full-back in January.

Bruce has already snapped up Elmohamady at Hull City and Villa, so another reunion at Wednesday would not be a major surprise.

Wednesday are currently in 16th place in the Championship table, while Villa are sat in ninth.
