Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke is all set for a move to Crystal Palace.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has undergone a medical with Crystal Palace ahead of joining the club on loan later this week when the January transfer window opens.

Solanke, 21, left Chelsea for Liverpool in the summer of 2017, and was hoping to receive more playing time at Anfield than Stamford Bridge.

However, he scored just once last season and hasn’t played at all this term, with Jurgen Klopp opting for Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi instead.

Solanke needs first-team football, and a host of clubs are hoping to take him on loan, but Crystal Palace appear to have won the race.

The Daily Mail believe Solanke has today undergone a medical with the Eagles, and will pen a loan deal until the end of the season when the January transfer window opens.

Palace undoubtedly need a striker, with Christian Benteke injured, Alexander Sorloth goalless, Jordan Ayew struggling and Connor Wickham only just back from injury.

Solanke should therefore feature prominently for Palace, giving him the first-team football he needs after a half-season of frustration with Liverpool.
