Celtic lost 1-0 to Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Celtic turned in a woeful display at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon as they were beaten 1-0 by bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
The Bhoys were into the game having not lost to Rangers in the league since 2012, and had already beaten Steven Gerrard's side 1-0 earlier this season.
However, Brendan Rodgers' men were dreadful at Ibrox, and were on the back foot in the first half as Rangers had a host of chances to take the lead.
The goal did come on 30 minutes though, as fine work from Ryan Kent down the left saw Ryan Jack score, with the aid of a deflection from Scott Brown.
Rangers were gritty and determined, and whilst Celtic did create a couple of openings, they stood firm and claimed all three points.
Celtic must now accept that they are very much in a title race, with Rangers level on points with them at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
A number of Bhoys players struggled at Ibrox, but it's fair to say that few disappointed quite as much as midfielder Olivier Ntcham, just months after he was the goal hero in the 1-0 win over Rangers at Parkhead.
On Saturday though, the Frenchman was anonymous in midfield and outplayed by Jack, wit fans calling him atrocious and pathetic, urging the club to sell him to Porto if the Portuguese side are still keen whilst even joking that he should be investigated for match-fixing because he was so bad.
Ntcham is a myth. Sell sell sell.— Paddy Mullaney (@paddymullaney19) December 29, 2018
Ntcham was disinterested and is needing shipped. More than a wake up call today. We’ve had too many wake-up calls this season. If we don’t get this window right, well... Also today I think we saw the last of Mikael Lustig and thank god.— Conor (@Conor_Spence67) December 29, 2018
Ntcham has done nothing since dembele left— Paul (@pauldowney82) December 29, 2018
Oliver Ntcham should be investigated for match fixing today. That's how poor he was.— Liam (@TheRealLiamDunn) December 29, 2018
Hopefully stengthen that midfield in January. As much as I love him. I don't think Broony is for staying and Ntcham just not good enough in recent week. Feel like Mikey Joneston and Ralston could be brilliant for Celtic in these next few months.— Kayleigh Shreenan (@K_Shreenan) December 29, 2018
Bring Wanyama home. Ntcham is an absolute fraud.— Jacob Toland (@JacobToland97) December 29, 2018
People saying Ntcham was best player today? Don’t see it personally. Never got hold of the ball and didn’t look like he wanted to be there— Callum Cameron (@Callux7_) December 29, 2018
Olivier Ntcham is a talented player who is absolutely no use when a game isn't going in his team's favour, and seems to have lost any interest in playing for Celtic anyway. Any offers should be entertained.— Dee (@cardboardjonny) December 29, 2018
Ntcham shouldn't be playing for Celtic wasted jersey— MDK (@Spartacustic) December 29, 2018
I’m starting to run out of patience with ntcham!! I’ve gave him the benefit of the doubt a lot in the last 12-18months as there is a player in there BUT I think if we get a good offer it’s time to punt.— DBHOY (@bigvid84) December 29, 2018
Urgent Police Scotland appeal: missing person Olivier Ntcham, last seen 17/18 season— Coco (@connor_g_123) December 29, 2018
Pickup the phone to Porto and ask them if they still want Ntcham.— Scott Fulton (@MrCrowleyoto) December 29, 2018
Ntcham was atrocious today. Pathetic and atrocious.— Aidan (@aidanarr_67) December 29, 2018
