Rangers target Dominic Solanke could be set to snub the Gers for Crystal Palace.

Glasgow Rangers’ long-standing transfer target Dominic Solanke is weighing up a move which would end Steven Gerrard’s hopes of signing him at Ibrox.

The Mail report Solanke has an offer on the table from Crystal Palace to sign on loan until the end of the season and will decide within 48 hours.

The Liverpool forward also has a loan offer from Huddersfield Town, while Brighton want to sign him permanently.

Talksport reported in late November that Solanke was ‘set to’ join Rangers in January on loan.

The Gers are a striker short after cancelling flop Umar Sadiq’s loan spell at the club.

Rangers only have two senior forwards, Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty, who have both missed games with injuries and suspensions this season.

Solanke has not been in Liverpool’s plans this season and he is behind back-up forwards Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the queue.

The England under-21 international has to choose whether to accept the offer to sign with a Premier League side or hold out for a switch to Rangers.

Missing out on the forward would be the second player Steven Gerrard has missed out this week, with Everton youngster Kieran Dowell signing on loan with Sheffield United, despite interest from Rangers.
