With everyone talking about the likelihood of Persona 5 coming to the Nintendo Switch, it’s easy for people to completely miss Square Enix’s Jump Festa announcement about an extended version of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age also being released on the console in Japan next year.
Like the rumoured enhanced edition of Persona 5, Dragon Quest XI will include an array of new features. Reported by Just Push Start, game designer and scenario writer Yuji Horii revealed that players will now be able to pick whichever lass they’d like to ruin their life with through marriage:
“In the game’s story you can marry [redacted due to spoilers], but I thought that people would want to choose from various characters, so we’ve added that,” Horii said. “While it isn’t marriage, you can even choose Erik or Hendrik—so you can choose the person you live with.”
Square Enix has also mentioned that they are making a surprise announcement about Dragon Quest XI S on January 1, 2019. While it would be great to be told what other new additions players can expect, the reveal of an English release is more likely and way better.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age is available worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC. If you’re a fan of Persona 5, then you must also keep an eye out for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI as it’s similarly a JRPG epic that is approachable for everyone. That and they both have scantily dressed companions for you to drool over as you send them to fight your battles.
