Tottenham Hotspur will try to move on as many as six players once the January transfer window opens, according to the Daily Mail.

The list of potential outgoings is dominated by players approaching the end of their deals, with Mousa Dembele principal among them.

The Belgian was said to be subject of an offer from Internazionale in the summer, while the Mail says that AS Monaco are interested now.

Both Fernando Llorente and Michel Vorm join Dembele in entering the final six months of their deal on January 1st and Spurs are said to be open to any offers for the duo.

Vincent JanssenGeorges-Kevin Nkoudou, and Victor Wanyama are all looking to be sold, too, as Spurs aim for £75m to be generated in sales.

While the amount of failed players being shipped on may at first look like a negative, the fact that Pochettino has got Spurs into a position where they can afford to move on so many fringe players should be commended.

The manager's ability to turn around the career of Moussa Sissoko while introducing the likes of Juan Foyth and Oliver Skipp to first-team football has given Spurs a very functional squad, despite their lack of business in the summer.

And should they generate plenty of money next month, Pochettino will have got Tottenham into a place where they can truly build on a squad that's already competing for the Premier League title.
