Philip has been the top Billing for Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this season and has caught the eye of Javi Gracia’s Watford.

Watford are under no illusions that Abdoulaye Doucoure is set to be a man in demand once again in the near future.
Despite not quite hitting the standards he set last season, the rangy Frenchman continues to be linked with some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, with the Mirror claiming that Marco Silva wants to reunite with him at Everton.
But, should the worst case scenario occur in January, Watford want to make sure they are as prepared as they possibly can to deal with Doucoure’s potential departure. According to the Sun (23 December, page 61), the Hornets have identified Huddersfield Town’s Philip Billing as the man to replace their powerhouse midfielder should he leave Vicarage Road.
Billing has been arguably the star of a struggling Huddersfield side so far this season, providing a blend of class and combativeness in central midfield, and showcasing his ability to strike the ball from distance with a long-range thunderbolt in the 3-1 defeat to Southampton on Saturday.

The Denmark U21 international shares some similar attributes with Doucoure so Watford’s interest is justifiable.
And it is understood that the Hornets would be willing to pay around £15 million for Billing. Although the prospect of his departure does not bare thinking about for David Wagner as he aims to keep the Terriers in the Premier League for a second straight season.
