Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Dundee on Saturday.

Simon Donnelly has praised Celtic striker Michael Johnston on Twitter for his performance against Dundee on Saturday afternoon.

Johnston scored twice for Celtic in their 3-0 win against Dundee at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.

The 19-year-old striker found the net first in the 43rd minute and then again five minutes into the second half.

Scott Brown and an emotional Celtic farewell

Former Celtic star Donnelly has praised the Scotland Under-21 international striker for his performance against Dundee, saying that he was terrific.

Encouraging for Celtic

Johnston is a very talented and promising young striker, and he is taking the chances he is being given by Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at the moment.

The striker was on target during the Hoops’ 3-0 victory over Motherwell at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening as well.

Perhaps Celtic do not need to sign a striker in the January transfer window, as they already seem to have a gem on their books.

Johnston can only improve in the coming weeks and months, and scoring goals on a regular basis is going to be a massive boost to his confidence.
