Ekuban is on fire in Turkey, after leaving Leeds on a season-long loan.

Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban has continued his excellent form in Turkey with a superb brace for Trabzonspor on Wednesday night – and Leeds fans have applauded the striker on Twitter.

The 24-year-old joined Leeds from Italian side Chievo in the summer of 2017, but suffered a number of injuries in his first season – including two foot problems.

He managed just two goals in 21 league and cup appearances for the Whites and was immediately told he could leave by Marcelo Bielsa this summer. He moved to Turkey on a loan-to-buy deal.

Turkish outlet Miliyet claim Trabzonspor spent £180,000 to lure him to the SuperLig side on loan, and will have to spend a further £900,000 to sign him permanently.

The Turkish side might indeed activate that clause, as Ekuban has scored four goals in his last five games including a brace on Wednesday night during a 5-0 win Turkish Cup win over Sivas Belediye.

Leeds fans caught wind of his display on Wednesday night, and fans congratulated the forward for an excellent display. One fan even posted on Twitter: “Bring him home”.
