Tottenham left back Danny Rose is starting to come back to form.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has told the London Evening Standard of how Mauricio Pochettino warned him to ‘stop wasting time’ over the summer.
Spurs beat Arsenal 2-0 on Wednesday night, with Son Heung-min and Dele Alli scoring in either half to send Tottenham in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
It was another strong performance from Spurs, and especially from left back Rose, who appears to be recapturing his best form this season.
The 28-year-old starred against Barcelona last week and stepped up again on Wednesday night, putting himself right in contention to be Pochettino’s first-choice left back again.
Rose was become one of Europe’s top left backs under Pochettino in the 2016-17 season, but a major injury in January 2017 saw him miss around nine months of action.
Rose has struggled to get up to speed again as a result, but his recent performance have fans hoping that he can get back to his best once again.

Now, Rose has revealed that he spoke to boss Pochettino on a number of occasions over the summer, and received a fairly blunt warning to ‘stop wasting time’, and that fired Rose up to get back to his best.
“After the World Cup, I called the manager and we spoke. We spoke for an hour before the first game at Newcastle and we spoke for an hour after that,” said Rose. “The one main thing that stuck out from what he said to me was: ‘Danny — stop wasting time’. So yeah, I’m not wasting any more time. I’ve got my head down again and I’m doing okay at the minute. I’m trying to get back to where I was a couple of years ago,” he added.
