Derby drew 0-0 with rivals Nottingham Forest on Monday night.
Derby County failed to overcome local rivals Nottingham Forest on Monday night as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Pride Park - and Rams fans were not happy with Scott Malone's display.
It was a close affair in which both sides had chances to score, but goalkeepers Scott Carson and Costel Pantilimon came out on top - pulling off some excellent saves.
Tom Huddlestone had Derby's best chance, stealing in at the back post to latch on to Richard Keogh's header but somehow he blazed the ball over the bar from close range. Joe Lolley hit the bar with a curling effort for Forest.
Malone, 28, who joined Derby in the summer from Premier League side Huddersfield Town, came up against the in-form Lolley who has been excellent under Aitor Karanka.
Indeed, Lolley tormented Malone all evening and should have found the back of the net on at least one occasion. Forest should have also had one on the score sheet through Lewis Grabban, but he missed his chance in the first half.
Derby fans blasted left-back Malone for his performance, as the result sees Derby miss the chance to leapfrog West Bromwich Albion into third and onto 40 points. One fan claimed it was Malone's "worst game in a Derby shirt".

Lacking a target man option up front (not sure Waghorn is the answer).
Teams have targeted Mount and kept him quiet. Need to find a way to unleash him again.
Bryson not playing well.
Malone worries me defensively.
Refereeing! Poor for both sides.#dcfc
Left back has to be priority in Jan.. Malone just isn't good enough #dcfc

Scott Malone’s pass map. 50% passing accuracy but feels like 20% pic.twitter.com/Vy1lHzOQZR
