HITC Sport understands Blackburn Rovers midfielder Lewis Travis is set to go out on loan in January with a number of clubs chasing his signature.
A host of League One and League Two clubs are eyeing moves for highly-rated Blackburn Rovers youngster Lewis Travis on loan in the January transfer window, HITC Sport understands.
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray has sanctioned a loan move for Travis in the New Year so that he can valuable first-team action under his belt.
The news of Travis’ availability has alerted a number of clubs in the Football League as they look to bolster their squads in the January transfer window.
League One quartet Portsmouth, Blackpool, Wycombe Wanderers and Plymouth Argyle as well as League Two promotion hopefuls Lincoln City have all expressed an interest in taking Travis on loan for the second half of the season.
Travis, who can play anywhere across the back four as well as in midfield, burst onto the scene last season with Blackburn, making 16 appearances for the club as they won promotion back to the Championship.
The 21-year-old, who joined Blackburn from Liverpool in 2014, has seen his first-team opportunities limited this season and he is keen to go out on loan in search of action.
Travis is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Ewood Park and they will assess their options before deciding where to send the player on loan so that he can continue his development.
