The Mexico international is on loan from Benfica and his latest display has prompted some fans to urge the club to get the chequebook out.

Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have had their say on what they hope the future brings for Raul Jimenez.

The Mexico international bagged the fifth goal of his season-long loan from Benfica in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth.

Wolves have already agreed a fee of £30million with the Portuguese giants over a permanent move for Jimenez.

 

Whether the Premier League club will be prepared to pay such a large fee for the 27-year-old remains to be seen, however.

Jimenez appears to have suggested that he wants a permanent move to Molineux in comments published by The Independent, though he said it's out of his hands.

As Wolves posted an image of the forward on their Twitter feed, some of the club's supporters praised the loanee and called for him to be signed up:

As well as his five league goals, Jimenez also has five assists (Transfermarkt), which have helped Wolves up to seventh in the table.

Jimenez's record with Benfica stands at 31 goals and 15 assists from 120 appearances, while for Mexico he has 15 goals and six assists from 70 caps.
