Roy Evans praises Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been voted as the 2018 BBC African Footballer of the Year.

Roy Evans has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah winning the BBC African Football of the Year award for 2018.

Salah won the prestigious individual award last year as well, and this year, the Egypt international finished ahead of his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane among other players.

Former Liverpool manager Evans has praised the 26-year-old forward on Twitter for his achievement.

Going strong

Salah is one of the forwards in the world, and his performances since his move to Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017 have been truly remarkable.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the former Chelsea attacker - who is very popular among the Anfield faithful - scored 32 goals and provided 10 assists in 36 Premier League appearances and scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 13 Champions League matches, according to WhoScored.

So far this season, Salah has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 16 Premier League matches and has scored three goals in six Champions League appearances, according to WhoScored.

There is a very good chance that Salah could replicate his heroics of last season during the 2018-19 campaign.
