Tottenham Hotspur won against Burnley on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur have maintained their good run of form this afternoon with a narrow 1-0 win against Burnley at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Spurs headed into the Premier League match against Burnley on the back of a 1-1 draw with Barcelona away from home in the Champions League.
The result saw Tottenham progress to the last-16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition, and Spurs took that confidence to the match against the Clarets.
It was not an easy ride for Tottenham, though, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side needed an injury-time goal from Christian Eriksen to win the match.
The result means that Spurs are now third in the Premier League table with 39 points from 17 matches, just five points behind leaders Manchester City.
Spurs will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on bitter North London club Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
Huge win against a side who did not come to play football and what a finish from @ChrisEriksen8 COYS on to midweek now!— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) December 15, 2018
I don’t blame Burnley by the way they set up well and organised and I really like Sean dyche but to much time wasting which the referee should have taken care of earlier.— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) December 15, 2018
