Stephen Henderson is at League One Wycombe Wanderers from Championship challengers Nottingham Forest and the goalkeeper is impressing already.

Both Nottingham Forest’s back-up goalkeepers have left the club on emergency short-term loan deals in the last few weeks.
Jordan Smith played one game for Barnsley in November, while Stephen Henderson headed to Wycombe Wanderers last week after the League One side lost their two senior shot-stoppers to injury.
And Henderson, who had not made a single appearance all season for Forest, certainly made an impression on his Wycombe debut, standing out in a 1-0 win against Barnsley.
In fact, he was so good that Wycombe have now extended his loan for a further week; a move that has left manager Gareth Ainsworth delighted.
“Stephen did extremely well on his debut for us and it was a no-brainer for us to secure another seven-day loan for him. He’s worked hard in training, he’s fitted in well with the boys and I’m really pleased we’ve been able to keep him,” the long-serving gaffer told the Bucks Free Press.
“We’re grateful to Stephen and Nottingham Forest for allowing him to help us out in goal.”

A loan move away from the City Ground looks hugely beneficial for Henderson, who has slipped down to fourth in the Nottingham Forest pecking order after they signed both Luke Steele and Costel Pantilimon.
The 30-year-old former Portsmouth ‘keeper is due to become a free agent at the end of the season, so it remains to be seen if Wycombe will have the chance to sign him permanently in 2019.
