Tottenham Hotspur fans react to James Maddison display for Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wanted to sign James Maddison before he joined Leicester City from Norwich City in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of James Maddison for Leicester City against them at the weekend.

Maddison featured for Leicester in their Premier League game against Tottenham at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Foxes lost 2-0.

According to WhoScored, the English youngster took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 85%, made two tackles and one interception, and played four key passes.

The former Norwich City star has been playing well for Leicester this season, but he did not have a great time against Tottenham and failed to test the North London club’s defence frequently.

According to WhoScored, Maddison has scored five goals and provided two assists in 15 Premier League appearances for Leicester so far this season.

Maddison was linked with a move to Tottenham before he left Norwich for Leicester in the summer transfer window, with The Telegraph claiming that Spurs were on the hunt for his services.
