Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to bolster his ranks in January, having failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window.
The problem for the Argentine is that he will most likely have to be thrifty in his player recruitment, what with Spurs' expensive move to their new stadium.
The 22-year-old joined the Foxes from Birmingham City in January 2016, for around £3.5 million, and he has gone on to make 115 appearances in all competitions for the east Midlands outfit.
Gray is a real live-wire, and he can play anywhere along the front-line - something that will surely appeal to Pochettino.
The England under-21 international possesses pace in abundance, and he plays with a certain type of directness that makes him ideally suited to Tottenham's high-octane style.
Whether Leicester will be willing to sell Gray, however, is doubtful.
Spurs possess the fire-power to at least test the Foxes resolve, though, and if Poch manages to bring the 22-year-old to north London, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the club.
