Jelavic left Rangers in 2012 and is currently playing for Chinese side Guizhou Hengfeng.
Nikica Jelavic has claimed that he did not want to leave Rangers in January 2012 when he joined English Premier League side Everton - and some Rangers fans want him back at Ibrox.
The 33-year-old is currently playing in the second tier of Chinese football for Guizhou Hengfeng, managed by former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu.
Jelavic joined Rangers in 2010 from current Europa League opponents Rapid Vienna for a fee of £4million (Rangers website), before leaving just 18 months later to move south to Merseyside outfit Everton.
He told Rangers' official website that he did not want to leave Ibrox, but his hands were tied as the club needed to sell the striker to bring in funds with the financial collapse seeing Rangers start again in the fourth tier of Scottish football.
During his year-and-a-half-spell at Rangers, Jelavic scored an impressive 36 goals in 56 games - as well was turning provider a further 15 times - meaning he almost had a ratio of being involved in a goal every game.
Some Rangers fans reacted to his comments about leaving Ibrox in January 2012 to Everton, with some of the belief that he could still do a job in Steven Gerrard's side.
