Rangers fans are reacting to fresh reports linking Jake Cooper with a move to Ibrox.
According to the Daily Express, the Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, has made clear he wants the Millwall defender after sending Andy Scoulding, the Ibrox chief scout, to watch him.
The newspaper claims Rangers tried to sign Cooper back in August, and made a series of bids that went as high as £3 million.
But while the London club were able to keep hold of him then, it is suggested there is now concern they will lose the fight to keep the 23-year-old.
There is speculation, too, that Cooper's contract contains a release clause that kicks into effect if Millwall - who are 21st in the Championship - finish at the bottom end of England's second tier, which would appear to point towards a summer deal.
But what do those of a Rangers persuasion make of the rumour?
This is what they're saying on Twitter...
Why would we want a 5th CB? He’s already inferred priority is striker/playmaker?— Brownie (@OzRNGR) December 7, 2018
Because Worrall will go back to Forest and McAuley is 2 years older than Santa— Grant (@grant_mckay) December 7, 2018
Announce creative midfielder— jαmєs (@jamesm) December 7, 2018
Good. I don’t think it’s the priority but believe SG and MA are working hard on Striker + creative midfielder behind scenes.— Ryan Robertson (@RyanRobertson_1) December 7, 2018

Jake Cooper would be a good signing for @RangersFC. Maybe need to focus on getting a striker in first though. Or bring Zak Rudden back from Falkirk?— London Blue Nose (@londonbluenose) December 7, 2018
No defenders we need is strikers who can stay on the park and a midfielder who can control the game— duncan (@duncanio81) December 7, 2018
Bring in cooper. Solanke. N davis. Those 3 would do me— Robert #letsgo #55 on the way (@rangerslad1983) December 7, 2018
If we are going back in for Jake Cooper I hope he is all of a sudden os a superstar attacking mid or striker. Dont need a 5th Centre Half.— James Whyte (@james_ws_whyte) December 7, 2018
Could be a Summer Bid apparently. If so, that would make sense. Unsure if Gareth plays for another year and Joe Worrall would be heading back.— Liam Hamilton (@LiamHamilton98) December 7, 2018
Why did rangers sign Katic if he’s no gonnae get game time started the season well then got dropped and his confidence dropped now apparently in for that cooper again stop been a club that’s give other teams players game.— duncan (@duncanio81) December 7, 2018
Rangers' centre-back pool currently comprises Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic, Gareth McAuley and Joe Worrall, although the latter pair are out of contract at the end of this season.
