Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt has spoken out to condemn the racist abuse directed at Celtic star Scott Sinclair.

Sinclair shared a video which had been shown to him, of an Aberdeen fan voicing obscene racist remarks towards him during last week's Scottish League Cup final.

Celtic won the game 1-0 with Sinclair netting the winner.

Van Aanholt commented via Twitter and believes Sinclair was right to show the video.

Sinclair has had an outpouring of support, with Van Aanholt a high profile name to join in the outrage.

The £12 million Palace defender's commented were echoed by Aberdeen defender Shay Logan.

Logan called out the fan, via The Scottish Sun, lambasting the disgraceful behaviour as having no place in Scottish football.
