Zouma and Micheal Keane made an impressive partnership over the early part of the season with Everton.
However, since Yerry Mina has returned to full fitness, Zouma has generally played a reserve role.
The Frenchman has had to watch from the sidelines in the main, although he was brought back into Everton’s starting line-up for their last match against Newcastle United.
“It was good with Yerry – but Michael has been doing a very good job. We can all rotate and there is no problem with that,” Zouma said.
“We need to keep training hard and working to win games.
“We were very disappointed [to not beat Newcastle] and we could have won the game. We created chances against a team that had a lot of players at the back, they were compact and wanted to get the draw.
“We could be more patient, I think, move the ball from one side to the other. We tried to score but couldn’t. We scored only one. But at least we came back into the game after conceding the first goal and got the point.”
Everton’s draw with Newcastle has put them into sixth place in the Premier League table.
Silva’s side are next in action on Monday, when they face Watford at Goodison Park.
Whether Zouma will have done enough to retain his place remains to be seen.
The powerful centre-back could start alongside Mina again, as Silva has already hinted that the Colombian international will keep his place.
