Tottenham Hotspur picked up a 3-1 victory at Wembley last night, with Mauricio Pochettino picking Juan Foyth again.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth’s display against Southampton has received criticism on social media website Twitter.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino stuck by Foyth and started him at Wembley last night, despite his error in the North London derby at the weekend.
Tottenham managed to pick up a 3-1 victory over Southampton, in fairly comfortable fashion.
But Foyth’s display did not win over every onlooking Spurs fan, with the youngster having to deal with more criticism.
Although there were some Tottenham supporters who felt he did well, the large majority of Lilywhites fans felt Foyth wasn’t good enough.
Idc how good of a game he had I don’t want foyth nowhere near the starting lineup when big games come around

Foyth bets on himself every time. It's scary to watch, but pretty damn cool.#COYS #THFC #Spurs #TOTSOU

Made some toby like saves for us off the line also
Hes getting better each game
I didnt notice any rash challenges either which is a huge plus
Disappointing to see Foyth look so poor again tonight. Looks miles out of his depth again, having appeared to have turned a corner against Wolves and Palace. Turns out he hasn’t.

I think the mess up he did for the arsenal game has put him a step back and now opposition are targeting him. Almost like our best defender should’ve played instead

Tonight’s game it was ok to play Foyth. He did ok, Southampton are a very poor side and apart from Redmond shouldn’t pose us much of a threat.

The game on Saturday however was not a game to play him in.
Should Juan Foyth be in our squad? Surely being on loan at another Premier league club would benefit him more. Absolutely fantastic prospect, but in my opinion not good enough to be in our squad.

Foyth has forced his way into Tottenham’s starting line-up of late, and while there has been plenty of to be encouraged by he has shown signs of naivety.
The Argentine defender has made some errors, which can be put down to inexperience, but it now remains to be seen whether he will keep his place long-term.
Tottenham’s win over Southampton has put them back up to third in the Premier League table.
