A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Kenny Miller's hat-trick which comes just days before his new side host the Gers in the Scottish Premiership.

Wednesday was not a good night for Steven Gerrard's men. They were beaten by Aberdeen in a game that saw Alfredo Morelos sent off and Kyle Lafferty struggle to make an impact.

Morelos' latest suspension certainly puts some pressure on the latter, but so may Miller's latest performance as he inspired Dundee to a 4-0 victory over Hamilton at Dens Park.

The 38-year-old - who left Rangers in intriguing circumstances in the summer - scored his first treble since the Gers thrashed Dumbarton 6-0 in the Championship in January 2016.

While Miller is obviously well into the twilight of his career, Rangers fans would be forgiven for wondering whether he could have done a job for Gerrard's squad this term given the lack of depth that the club boast up front.

And while there are not too many of the Ibrox faithful asking for the striker to be signed for a fourth time anytime soon, plenty have noted that he now goes into Sunday's clash having scored five goals in his last three appearances for his current side, and are fearful that he will come back to haunt Gerrard's side.
