Championship leaders Norwich City missed out on signing Holstein Kiel’s 2.Bundesliga forward Kinglsey Schindler in the summer.
It was Stuart Webber’s outstanding work in the transfer market that provided the platform for Huddersfield Town’s shock promotion challenge in 2017, and the esteemed sporting director appears to be working similar magic at Norwich City.
The Canaries have soared to the top of the Championship table with the likes of Teemu Pukki, Emi Buendia and Moritz Leitner making a huge impact at Carrow Road.
But could Webber complete another piece of business in the January transfer window?
The Eastern Daily Press reported that Norwich were hoping to complete a loan deal for Holstein Kiel wide man Kinglsey Schindler before August’s transfer deadline, and it seems that the 25-year-old is once again in Webber’s sights.
According to German outlet Fussball Transfers, Norwich are still sniffing around with Schindler’s contract due to expire at the end of the season. And Holstein Kiel’s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth has not ruled out the second tier side cashing in.
The Hamburg-born forward looks like a very exciting addition to Daniel Farke’s free-scoring side, given that he has netted six goals and produced seven assists already this season.
Schindler has also played in a wide variety of positions throughout 2018/19, including right wing, centre forward and in the number ten role.
