As everyone keeps pointing out, it will take two or three transfer windows for Unai Emery to build Arsenal in his own image.
And, despite making it 20 games unbeaten with a 2-2 draw away at Manchester United on Wednesday night, it seems the Gunners’ head coach is drawing up plans to make big changes to his squad in January.
The Sun is claiming that Arsenal are weighing up a £15 million move for the impressive Club Brugge forward Wesley Moraes. The 22-year-old Brazilian, who moved to Belgium from Slovakian outfit Trencin, has scored ten goals in all competitions this season and is also allegedly on the radar of Fiorentina and Valencia.
Links with Wesley have emerged just a day after Sky Sports claimed that Arsenal will release the crocked Danny Welbeck when his contract expires in June.
The Argentine international, who won three successive Europa League titles under Emery at Sevilla, is one of the most underrated players in European football and would add both bite and creativity to a much improved Gunners midfield.
