With Ezgjan Alioski struggling, Leeds United must renew Albert Adomah interest before Aston Villa tie him down.

For a while there it looked like Leeds United might have wasted money by signing Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah.
After all, Ezgjan Alioski was having a brilliant season and despite speculation [Birmingham Mail] about signing the Aston Villa star in August, he wouldn’t have got a game under Marcelo Bielsa.
Fast forward four months and now the opposite is true: the 30-year-old would walk into Leeds’ best XI now at the expense of Alioski.
Beside the fact that Alioski hasn’t scored since September or set up a goal in two months, his standard of performance is dropping at an alarming rate, to the point where Bielsa has hauled him off at half time in each of the Whites’ last two Championship games.
Adomah is hardly racking up goals or assists for Aston Villa this season, but his standard of performance has simply been much higher than the Macedonia international.

There is a reason why the 30-year-old – a £5 million signing by Steve Bruce [Teeside Gazette] – looks set to earn a new deal at Villa Park and it’s because he’s a tremendous asset.
The same could be said about Alioski on his day, but consistency issues have plagued him and Adomah is simply a better, more consistent winger.
It’s only a matter of time before Aston Villa tie him down, so Leeds should make their interest known before then.
