The latest instalment of the M23 derby has seen Brighton come out on top.
On Tuesday night, the Seagulls ran out 3-1 winners over Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash at the Amex Stadium.
The first half proved bittersweet for Chris Hughton's charges, scoring three unanswered goals against their rivals but also going down to ten men.
Glenn Murray fired the Seagulls ahead against his former club from the penalty spot on 24 minutes but Shane Duffy was sent off for a headbutt on Patrick van Aanholt shortly after.
Leon Balogun then doubled Brighton's lead on 31 minutes with his first touch after coming off the bench, before fellow substitute Florin Andone grabbed a third on the stroke of half time.
Although Eagles midfielder Luka Milivojevic notched up a penalty consolation nine minutes from time, Roy Hodgson's side could not make the most of their man advantage in the end.
Following the conclusion of the match, some Seagulls supporters took to Twitter to celebrate their three-point haul over their enemies:
