It's certainly easy to love the way Everton did their business this summer under the new management structure of Marcel Brands and Marco Silva.

They had a tough task ahead of them: sign players that won't just improve the team but allow a complete change of style almost instantly.

And they pulled it off, with the likes of Richarlison, Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina, and Lucas Digne looking like inspired signings that have made the Sam Allardyce era feel like the distant past.

Not only have they managed both of their targets, full-back Seamus Coleman feels they've done much more in what he describes as a 'highlight of the window'.

"Not only have we signed very good players but very good people as well,” Coleman told the club's official website.

"For me, that has been a highlight of the last transfer window.

"If you sat around the breakfast tables or dinner tables, you would sense the genuinely good atmosphere.

“I am very proud to be a part of that and the new lads that have come in, whether it is by chance or by research from the manager and Marcel [Brands], have been exceptional.”

It's easy to underestimate the importance of that when you're viewing things as an outsider but Coleman's words offer even more excitement to the Everton project.

A happy atmosphere for the players will always spill over onto the pitch and for Brands and Silva to pull that off on top of their more 'high-priority' objectives is truly exceptional.

If it wasn't clear already, Everton may have some very exciting times ahead.
