Nuhiu featured for Wednesday in their Championship game against Blackburn away from home at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old striker did not start the match, but the former Rapid Wien man came on as a substitute at the start of the second half.
According to WhoScored, Nuhiu took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 55.6%, won five headers, made three clearances, and attempted one dribble.
Other than one shot that he tried to put in goal, Nuhiu failed to do much of note during his time on the pitch.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon, visitors Wednesday had 52% of the possession, took seven shots of which two were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
The defeat to Rovers means that the Owls are now just five points above the Championship relegation zone.
Wednesday fans were not impressed with the performance of Nuhiu and have criticised the striker on Twitter.
Below are some of the best comments:
We shouldn't have renewed Joao / Nuhiu contracts, we're lumbered with 2 players who 24 month ago were both unwanted. We could really do with Sam Winnalls energy but there aren't any easy answers. That said Red Bull, could ease things, but I don't think so, and RED, really? #SWFC— Nick Baker (@NJB44) December 1, 2018
I’d personally get rid of most of them to be honest. Pelupessy, Nuhiu, Joao, Abdi the lot. None are doing the business. Then I’d build a team around Reach and Forestieri. But we know the club can’t spend and we’re lumbered with the lot of them.— Matt Thomas (@SadYorkshireman) December 1, 2018
Hows Nuhiu got 1 got to be a -2— RockySWFC (@RockyOwls) December 1, 2018
Expect him to turn into Messi again around January 2019. Hopefully we won’t fall for it. Or maybe he’ll be a force to be reckoned with in Lg1....hmmm— BartyOwl (@TheBartman277) December 1, 2018
