Arsenal hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has extra motivation to hurt Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a number of reasons to damage Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s visit to Arsenal.
1) He plays for Arsenal and therefore leading his side to victory over Tottenham, their North London rivals, should be of the utmost importance
2) Aubameyang majorly struggled against Spurs at Wembley on two occasions last season and might well have a point to prove.
3) The 29-year-old was rejected by the Lilywhites during Andre Villas-Boas’s reign in 2012, after already being given a tour of White Hart Lane and their training ground.
That last one is clearly something that irked the jet-heeled marksman, who was at Saint-Etienne at the time. He told Bild last September, before a Champions League defeat by Mauricio Pochettino’s side: “I was at Tottenham back then, had a tour of the stadium and the training ground.
“We held talks, but after that nobody contacted me again. That’s definitely extra motivation for me on Wednesday.”
Aubameyang was denied vengeance in that game, with Andriy Yarmolenko scoring Dortmund’s goal in the 3-1 defeat at Wembley, but the Arsenal hitman, who has 10 goals in all competitions this season, might well be determined to make amends at the Emirates this weekend.
Unai Emery’s side are fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind the in-form Lilywhites who sit third.
