West Bromwich Albion travel to Swansea City on Wednesday night for a game that will forever stir up emotional memories of Youssouf Mulumbu.

The popular midfielder enjoyed one of the finest moments of his Baggies career in this fixture four years ago, scoring a brilliant 85th minute winner at the Liberty Stadium to spark wild celebrations all the way back to the Midlands.

And with West Brom's official Twitter account reminding fans of Mulumbu’s long-range screamer from April 2014, the fans have made it clear that the 31-year-old would be welcomed back with open arms should he wish to return.

Released by the Baggies in the summer of 2015, Mulumbu is now at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic after a brief and successful spell at Kilmarnock.

But the one-time PSG youngster has struggled to make much of an impact under Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow, making just four appearances and starting a single league game so far.

With Mulumbu under contract until 2020, however, his future appears to be at Celtic for now. Though this won’t stop West Brom fans from dreaming of his return.

With Darren Moore’s side looking shaky at the back, the tireless and tenacious Mulumbu would certainly offer some much needed protection at the base of midfield.
