Newcastle United have taken Salomon Rondon on loan from West Bromwich Albion for the season.

Newcastle United fans have criticised Salomon Rondon, after the West Bromwich Albion loanee’s latest performance.
Rondon was selected to start for Newcastle against Burnley, and he helped Rafael Benitez’s side pick up a 2-1 victory at Turf Moor.
However, many Newcastle fans felt that the target-man should have been more involved in the contest.
Rondon never really got close to scoring during the match and was withdrawn just after the hour mark in favour of Joselu.
The Venezuelan went into the game after netting a brace in his last appearance, but he failed to build on that display.
Rondon still is regarded as Newcastle’s first choice striker, but he is under pressure not to let his form drop.
Newcastle’s win over Burnley yesterday was their third in a row, with Benitez’s men now moving up to 13th in the Premier League table.
