Albert Adomah had to be taken off during Aston Villa’s win over Birmingham City yesterday.

Jim White has shared a picture of Aston Winger man Albert Adomah with a protective boot on and on crutches, after meeting up with the flying winger following the claret and blues’ win over Birmingham City yesterday.

Villa ran out 4-2 victors in the second city derby, as they sealed a vital three points.

Adomah played a key part in the contest, as he helped set up both of Villa’s first two goals.

But he could now be set for a spell on the sidelines, as he had to come off during the contest.

Adomah was taken off with injury during the second half of the match and replaced with Yannick Bolasie, and White shared a worrying photo of the Ghanian on social media website Twitter.

Villa fans will be hoping that the protective boot was put on Adomah simply as a precaution.

If Adomah is to be ruled out with injury then Bolasie could be handed his first start for Villa in the coming weeks.
