Birmingham City fans have hammered Craig Gardner, after his performance against Aston Villa yesterday.
Gardner started in Birmingham’s midfield, as Garry Monk’s side fell to a 4-2 defeat against their city rivals.
Gardner, who came through Villa’s youth academy, struggled to cope in the match, with his lack of pace often exposed.
And Birmingham fans have not been sympathetic with the 32-year-old on social media website Twitter.

GM got it wrong playing players out of position.
Harding is not a left back, should have stopped 2 crosses coming in for goals.
Craig Gardner is finished in football.
Badly missed Jota.
Officials were a joke. #bcfc
Hope to never see Craig Gardner in a blues shirt again— Aidan Peaty (@PeatyBcfc) November 25, 2018
Craig Gardner’s performance must be one of the worst in living memory. Bragstad-esque— A Clifton (@AJafclifton) November 25, 2018
It’s been an absolutely pathetic display from Gardner today. Constantly lost the ball, let’s players drift past him with ease. #bcfc— Robert Ware (@Rob_MA_Ware) November 25, 2018
Birmingham actually had the lead against Villa early on, but they were unable to protect their advantage.
Blues took the lead when Lukas Jutkiewicz scored from a corner, but Villa hit back.
The claret and blues ended up winning fairly comfortably, as they inflicted a frustrating defeat on Monk’s side.
Villa are now three points above Birmingham, with the claret and blues making an impressive start under Dean Smith.
