Edin Dzeko has indicated that he wants a return to the Premier League – but could Wolverhampton Wanderers move for the prolific Roma striker?
Wolverhampton Wanderers boast a top class goalkeeper, a solid and consistent back three, a midfield of class and quality and wingers capable of giving any full-back in the Premier League a headache.
In short, they are one player away from being a hugely impressive top flight side. The Mail claims that Nantes’ Argentine targetman Emiliano Sala, who has 11 goals in 10 Ligue 1 starts this season, is also a target. But if you ask Wolves fans, there is no one better than Edin Dzeko to take Wolves to another level.
The 32-year-old is one of the most underrated strikers in Europe, scoring 80 goals in 154 games for Roma since arriving in Italy back in 2015. He’s also proven in the Premier League, having won England’s top flight twice with Manchester City.
And amid claims that Wolves sent scouts to watch Dzeko’s Bosnia clash with Austria a week ago (Birmingham Mail), you can’t blame fans for dreaming – especially after he expressed an interest in a return to Britain recently, as reported by Sky Sports.
