Liverpool head to the French capital to take on PSG in the Champions League next week.
According to the Sun, Paris Saint-Germain have received a major double blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool this time next week, with the news that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both suffered injuries whilst on international duty with Brazil and France respectively, and are huge doubts for the game at the Parc des Princes.
Neymar, 26, lasted only six minutes against Cameroon, before limping off the field with a thigh problem, whilst Mbappe, 19, left the field of play against Uruguay with a shoulder injury.
Group C is really finely poised, with Liverpool and Napoli on six points, and PSG in third spot on five points, so nothing less than a win will do for Thomas Tuchel’s men against Jürgen Klopp’s side on Wednesday night.
The Reds’ hopes of achieving a positive result have been given a massive boost, however, according to the Sun, with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both major doubts for the Champions League clash, after suffering injuries whilst on international duty.
A draw would be a great result for Liverpool, and if the Brazil and France internationals are unavailable for selection on Wednesday night, they really will fancy their chances of leaving Paris with something to show for their efforts.
