Italian international and Serie A wonderkid Federico Chiesa is reportedly an option for Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea.

It’s not always easy for a budding young footballer with a famous father. But 21-year-old Federico Chiesa is thriving at Fiorentina – despite the constant comparisons with former Italy great Enrico.

The versatile winger is arguably the biggest young talent in Italian football right now and, alongside the likes of Nico Barella and Dominico Berardi, looks set to play a major role in his country’s footballing future.

And Chiesa has even been named Fiorentina’s captain in the injury-enforced absence of German Pezzella. So no wonder clubs in England are keeping a close eye on his progress at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

According to The Express, Liverpool are monitoring the jet-heeled forward with Chelsea also understood to be interested.

Much has been made of Liverpool’s lack of attacking spark compared to last season and Chiesa, like Xherdan Shaqiri, would allow Jurgen Klopp the chance to rotate his squad, with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah, who yet to really get going in recent months.

Chiesa, however, feels like something of a pipe dream right now. The Express adds that he has a £53 million price tag on his head while he has shown very little interest in leaving Fiorentina.
